what we did

Cone worked with Time Warner Cable to identify a strategic philanthropic focus that aligned with their brand, resonated with customers and addressed a legitimate/current social need. Through internal and external research, we identified an opportunity for TWC to support STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education among youth. Specifically, TWC would use its unique assets as a cable company to change perceptions among youth of STEM to increase interest and then connect them to inspiring, hands-on STEM opportunities in their local communities. This focus came to life through Connect a Million Minds, a five-year, $100M commitment launched in 2009.

2012 –Awarded the American Business Association “Gold Stevie” for Community Relations Campaign of the Year; and the ACC “Golden Beacon”, the industry’s highest honor given to a public affairs initiative
