CONE COMMUNICATIONS EXPANDS CONTENT OFFERING WITH HIRE OF PARTICIPANT MEDIA EXECUTIVE

BOSTON (March 27, 2017) – Cone Communications, a public relations and marketing agency, welcomes the addition of one of the industry’s most dynamic content strategists – Christian McGuigan as Vice President, Content Strategy. McGuigan will be responsible for expanding content generation capabilities at the agency across owned, earned and paid channels.

McGuigan joins Cone from film and entertainment company, Participant Media, where he served as Vice President of Integrated Content Strategy. At Participant Media, he created compelling content-driven campaigns to inspire action on important social issues, including water restoration, freedom of political expression, hunger and human rights. McGuigan also steered brand strategy and creative production for well-known brands such as The Walt Disney Company, Microsoft Philanthropies, Hyundai and Genworth Financials. In an earlier role at Participant Media, McGuigan worked as part of the group’s Cause Marketing Services division, offering marketing and social innovation consulting to corporations and foundations.

Prior to joining Participant Media, Christian worked as an independent producer for film, television and commercials in New York and Los Angeles. In this role, Christian produced the short film REZ, winner of the NYU Spike Lee Production Fund Award.
