Cone and Jockey Win Best Social Media Campaign

PR News Honors Campaign with Platinum PR Award

Boston (October 16, 2008) – Cone announced today that its PR campaign supporting the launch of Jockey’s and is the recipient of the PR News Platinum PR Award for Best Social Media Campaign.

In 2007, as part of a brand repositioning initiative, the apparel company Jockey introduced two new interactive Web sites, and, designed to generate buzz and build brand awareness among Jockey’s target consumers.

To support the launch of these sites, Cone implemented an integrated and aggressive PR campaign that delivered more than 270 media hits and 310 million impressions, including high profile placements in Associated Press, USA Today, New York Times, Fox News Channel and

Social media was the subject of recent Cone research, the 2008 Business in Social Media Study, which found Americans who use social media are generally receptive to engaging with companies in the social media environment. The study showed 60 percent of social media users already interact with businesses via social media, and another 56 percent of users feel better served by companies who are present in social media.
