Cone LLC Names Bill Fleishman President

Fleishman to lead disciplines, products and services

BOSTON (March 23, 2010) – Cone LLC today announces the promotion of Bill Fleishman to president. In this role, Fleishman will be responsible for all agency account service disciplines in addition to serving as a strategic advisor and counselor for key agency clients.

Fleishman joined the agency in 2000 to lead the Brand Marketing discipline, the agency’s marketing public relations practice. As executive vice president, he continued to grow the agency’s reputation for high-profile, integrated communication programs for consumer brands.

In 2006, Fleishman was given the additional title of managing director, working with the discipline heads of Cause Branding, Corporate Responsibility and Crisis Prevention and Management to ensure clients were receiving the best possible strategic counsel and talent. As managing director, Fleishman also launched Cone LLC’s creative and new media service areas. The resulting approach to the application of social media and new media technologies – Technology-Facilitated DialogueSM – combined with new creative capabilities, has resulted in accelerated account growth across all agency discipline areas.

“Bill has played a critical role for the agency in both of his roles as EVP of Brand Marketing and as managing director,” says Cone LLC CEO Jens Bang. “In the midst of an historic recession, the Brand Marketing discipline achieved record revenue in 2009 under his guidance and leadership. For quite some time, Bill has been playing an expanded and vital role to help the growth of all of our agency disciplines and newer service areas. His new title of president is well deserved.”

As president, all discipline heads will report directly to Fleishman. He will work in collaboration with the discipline heads and the executive leadership team to set strategy and vision for the future and identify product and service offerings that will help maintain Cone LLC’s competitive edge in the marketplace.

“Cone has long been known for consistently delivering high-quality work products across all disciplines,” says Bang. “Having Bill take the lead in managing account services will help ensure we maintain that legacy.”

Fleishman will continue to head the Brand Marketing discipline as well as the creative and new media service areas.
