Byron rejoined Cone and Porter Novelli for a third time in 2018, as Managing Director. He has evolved a growth strategy that builds on the combined strength of the Cone and Porter Novelli brands and expertise.
At the end of his second term with the agency in 2016, Byron acted as Executive Vice President and Managing Director at the New York office, where he led and grew the brand communications team. He served as a senior strategist for many leading brands including Timberland, ECCO, Kenneth Cole, Barbour, General Mills, Nestle, Whole Foods Market, Lindt and Bayer.
From 2002-2006, Byron worked at Cone in a variety of brand marketing roles. Byron led media relations strategies, content development and special events for clients such as Perrier, JOCKEY and ECCO footwear. His experience in journalism and public affairs has given him an extensive skill set, particularly in the food and beverage and footwear categories.
Prior to returning to Cone in 2018, Byron served as Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer for the Phoenix House, overseeing all marketing communications. Earlier in his career, Byron served as the global public relations manager for The Rockport Company, a communications associate for the Boston Housing Authority, and a correspondent for the Boston Globe.
