Chrissy joined Cone in September 2007 bringing fifteen years of communications expertise to the agency, including brand strategy, messaging development, media and influencer engagement, and event management. Chrissy has managed communications strategy of Lemelson-MIT’s prestigious awards and grants program for nearly ten years, with the goal of celebrating inventors of all ages and increasing the STEM and invention dialogue in the mainstream media. She also manages HAI Group’s award-winning “ReThink: Why Housing Matters” public awareness campaign, along with communications programming for sustainability nonprofit Ceres and Northwestern Mutual’s Childhood Cancer Program.
Chrissy recently managed Cone’s partnership with STEM education non-profit i2 Learning. Chrissy and her team helped i2 Learning launch the first-ever, week-long Boston STEM Week, where more than 6,500 sixth, seventh and eighth grade students from 37 middle schools experienced hands-on STEM curriculum and were transformed into scientists and engineers.
Chrissy’s consumer product client experience at Cone also includes Lindt USA, Starbucks New England, Timberland, and natural food brands Guayakí Yerba Mate and Manitoba Harvest. Her work at Cone has generated industry recognition and media coverage with top national outlets including The Associated Press, Boston Globe, Fast Company, Huffington Post, Newsweek, NPR, Reuters, Time.com and USA Today, among others.
Before joining Cone, Chrissy worked at Porter Novelli for seven years where she developed her corporate communications, thought leadership and media relations programs for leading technology brands including BMC and Hewlett-Packard.
