2009 Consumer New Media Study
Almost 80 percent (78%) of new media users interact with companies or brands via new media sites and tools, an increase of 32 percent from 2008 (59%). And, the frequency of interaction is increasing, too, with more than a third (37%) of users engaging companies or brands via new media at least once per week (up from one-in-four last year).
Key Findings Include:
95% of new media users believe companies and brands should not only have a presence in new media but also interact with consumers (89%)
72% say they feel a stronger connection to companies or brands present in new media
68% say they feel better served by companies or brands present in new media
