Cone’s Lisa Manley joins executives from Ben & Jerry’s to discuss brand activism on SB’16 mainstage
BOSTON (June 1, 2016) – For the fifth year in a row, Cone Communications will join Sustainable Brands 2016 (SB’16) as a silver sponsor, helping to lead and facilitate the exciting sustainability and social impact conversation taking place over the four-day conference in San Diego on June 6-9.
Throughout the conference, Cone will host business and thought leaders in the “Cone Connect Suite” as well as hold a number of special events. On the opening day of SB’16, Cone will join client Timberland in co-hosting an after-party for the documentary film screening of KOMBIT: The Cooperative in the Cone Connect Suite. On Tuesday, June 7, a “Fireside BBQ” event will be co-hosted by Cone and client Goodyear.
Lisa Manley Leads Discussion on Brand Activism with Ben & Jerry’s
On Thursday, June 9, Lisa Manley, EVP of CR Strategy, is facilitating a conversation on brand activism alongside Cone client Ben & Jerry’s. The plenary session entitled, “Indulgent, Guilty, Empowered: Harnessing Emotion in Brand Positioning and Brand Activism” will explore how Ben & Jerry’s harnesses social activism to activate and empower consumers through campaigns like “Save Our Swirled” and “Empower Mint.” Lisa will be joined by Activism Manager Christopher Miller and Senior Global Marketing Manager Jay Curley of Ben & Jerry’s.
In addition, six of Cone’s clients will join the stage of SB’16 to share key insights into their leading corporate responsibility campaigns and initiatives.
